Inscriptography
Term coined by hijadelacoca, 2026.*

The study of systems of inscription and the operations through which they produce inscriptions. Within hijadelacoca’s practice, bureaucratic, forensic, medical, legal, cartographic, monetary, and computational systems are translated and displaced through textile methodologies to examine how their inscriptions produce authority and shape identity, value, memory, perception, territory, and belonging. The research develops through interconnected lines of inquiry:
