An ongoing investigation into how images and documents related to war, violence, and death are mediated through digital systems of access and classification. Working with publicly available materials such as human rights reports, institutional archives, and public records, the project examines how information is classified, circulated, restricted, censored, or rendered invisible.
Using HTML as both a visual and poetic language, fragmented images are reconstructed through code, metadata, and classification terms such as
<deceased>, <death>, <murdered>, <war> and <genocide>. These digital inscriptions are translated into textile processes, transforming structures that usually remain invisible behind an interface into material and embodied forms.Moving between code, image, document, and textile, <In>visible Threads asks how systems of inscription shape what becomes visible, accessible, and ultimately remembered.
